A passion for orthodontics built on decades of experience

Dr Baker graduated as dux of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Melbourne in 1982. He spent 16 years in general dentistry - running his own successful practice and gaining hands-on experience across all major dental disciplines - before deciding to specialise in orthodontics.

In 1998, he returned to full-time study to complete his Master’s degree and formally qualify as a specialist orthodontist. Since then, he has worked in practices across Caulfield and Greensborough before founding Knox City Orthodontics in 2002.

Always learning. Always sharing.

Committed to staying at the forefront of orthodontic advancements, Dr Baker regularly attends professional courses and lectures to stay up to date with the latest technologies and techniques.

He also serves as a clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne, mentoring postgraduate dentists who are training to become orthodontists - passing on his experience to the next generation of specialists.

As Chair of the Smile Partners Advisory Committee, Dr Baker plays an active role in shaping the future of orthodontic care, helping guide best practices across a wider network of trusted providers.
