Michelle started life as a lawyer, but after having children she retrained to teach senior high school legal studies. Michelle came to Knox City Orthodontics on a part-time basis to see if she wanted a change in profession and enjoyed it so much decided to stay on full time. She gets a great sense of satisfaction seeing how changing someone’s smile can change their life! Michelle has been married to Bruce for over 30 years and together they have two young adult children. She loves talking to people, reading, and travel.
Simone began working with Knox City Orthodontics as a dental assistant in 2004 and excelled in her initial chair side role. Her experience, responsibilities and skills grew with time spent in other key areas of the practice. With a comprehensive understanding of all areas of our practice Simone moved to the important Treatment Coordinator role in 2008. Her role involves introducing and welcoming new patients and families to our practice, assisting with the explanation of treatment needs, and helping to arrange all aspects of treatment. Simone has made herself an proficient in maximizing health fund rebates and helping to arrange manageable repayment plans to suit the budgets of our patients.
Simone is married and has two children, Jaxon and Charlotte. She also loves spending time with her beloved dogs Tilly and Jimmy.
Clare originally from the UK moved to Australia as a young girl. After completing University studying Business, Clare went on to develop her skills in administration and HR Management. Clare is a friendly face who will greet you upon each visit and can help assist with making appointments, dealing with financials and health care claims.
In her time outside of work Clare enjoys spending time with her friends and family, travelling and walking her dog Sampson.
Edith, originally from Romania, is a dental assistant here at Knox City Orthodontics with many years experience. Outside of work she loves films and is always volunteering at film festivals across Melbourne.
Linda has a Diploma in Massage Therapy and is a mum of three. Linda began her association with Knox City Orthodontics as her children completed orthodontic treatment here. She was looking for a career change and decided to try her hand as an orthodontic dental assistant. She has since gone on to be an experienced assistant working with Dr Baker and our hygienists.
Linda has loved the experience of learning about how an orthodontic practice works, and her friendly and easy going nature has made her an integral part of our chairside team!
When she is not working, Linda enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and is very passionate for her favourite sport which is hockey.
Natalie is a Dental Therapist who graduated from the prestigious University of Melbourne in 2006. Natalie’s career began in paediatric dentistry where she learnt the absolute importance of a functional bite. She then went on to compete further education in Orthodontics. Natalie brings a wealth of knowledge and incredible skills with over 12 years of orthodontic experience to our practice and has a passion for creating beautiful functional smiles alongside Dr Baker. Natalie’s interests include travelling, fashion, makeup, fast cars, motor sport and the gym.
Liz started her career in dentistry back in the early 1980’s as a Dental Assistant. After spending 3 years in General Dental Practice and 5 years in Orthodontics Liz return to study Dental Hygiene. In 1993 she received her Associate Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Gilles Plains College in Adelaide and returned to Melbourne to work in a variety of different practices, both General and Orthodontic. Following starting her family Liz continues to work Part Time in both these areas as she enjoys the variety to her career that both bring as well as keeping her up to date in the latest techniques and technology. Outside of work Liz keeps busy caring for her young family and supporting her elderly parents.
Lee-Anne graduated from the School of Dental Therapy Melbourne in 1987, working for the School Dental Service in remote rural and metropolitan areas.
To broaden her career, she gained further qualifications with a Diploma of Dental Hygiene in 1992. Working extensively in private general and orthodontic practice
Lee-Anne provides valuable experience here at Knox City orthodontics, and loves the interaction with our patients, especially when their braces are removed and a new smile is unveiled!
Outside work, she loves spending quality family time with her husband and two teenage children, also enjoying tennis, yoga, dining with friends and passionately supporting her beloved Hawks!
